*Reduced fare on Standard Express applies to:

  • Persons 65 years of age and older. Must show driver’s license or Medicare card. Apply.
  • Youth – between the ages of 6-17 years old with a student ID. Apply.
  • Persons with a documented disability. Must show a disabled parking ID or apply for a reduced fare transit ID card. Apply.
  • For more information or to obtain an application for reduced fare status, please call 913-782-2210.
  • Reduced fare on Route 672M is $1.

The fare box will take all modern U.S. coins and bills up to $20. If you overpay, the driver will provide a change card on request for use on future trips. The change card cannot be redeemed for cash, only future rides.

Passengers are eligible for one transfer. Please see The JO Transfer Policy.

Children 5 and under ride free. Riders 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Buses will stop along the route on a hand signal anywhere in Johnson County. Riders can only board buses between first and last time points on bus schedules (or the bus shelter on Robinson at the JCT facility). Riders cannot board on
exit/entrance ramps, highways or interstates, right-turn lanes or other possible unsafe locations.

JCT is not responsible for lost or stolen bus passes. No refunds will be provided.

Bus passes can be purchased online at thejo store or by mailing a check to:

Mailed passes will take 5-7 business days to deliver from the time the order is received. Please plan in advance. Purchases at the JCT office can be made between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Bus passes are non-refundable.

K-10 10 Ride Passes may be purchased at:

  • Online or by mail from Johnson County Transit
  • KU Parking Dept, Allen Fieldhouse Parking Garage - Naismith & Irving Hill, Lawrence (cash or credit card only)
  • JCCC Business Office, GEB 115 - College Blvd & Quivira, Overland Park (cash only)
  • KU Edwards Bookstore, Jayhawk Central - 126th & Quivira, Overland Park (cash or check only)

Passport

The JO Passport is Johnson County Transit's monthly bus pass that gives riders the convenience of a one time monthly fee and allows them to save over 25% off of the regular bus fare. The JO Passport is only available to participating companies, so have your Human Resources department fill out the order form and mail it to us today. >>more info

The JO Transfer Policy

If you will be transferring, please ask for a transfer ticket when you board.

When boarding, please ask the driver for a free transfer to move between routes or The BUS and Metro systems. Transfers are valid for two hours. Transfers are not valid for round trips.
